Location description: Tephra preserved in the late Cenozoic deposits of the Klondike region, Yukon Territory. Preece et al. (2000) identify 12 regional beds from 41 individual tephra samples; Sandhu et al. (2001) and Westgate et al. (2001) provide additional data on tephra bed average glass compositions from the area. Preece et al. (2011) provide information and data on 50 distinctive tephra beds in the area. Glass geochemical data of samples here are averages calculated from analyses of multiple tephra correlated across different stratigraphic locations in the Klondike area. Individual sample IDs are noted in the sample descriptions. Note that tephra units only located in one stratigraphic section are not included here and are listed by individual sample ID (see Preece et al. 2000, footnotes of tables 2 and 3; Sandhu et al. 2001, footnote of table 1; Westgate et al. 2001 footnote of table 2; Preece et al. 2011, Tables 1 and 4).
