Location description: Seven major tephra beds identified and correlated in the Cold Bay area, Alaska Peninsula, Alaska (see Carson 1998). Geochemical data of samples reported here are averages calculated from analyses of multiple tephra correlated across different stratigraphic locations in the area; see sample descriptions for individual samples that were used to calculate compositional averages of correlated tephra deposits. Deposition of these beds took place between 10,200 +/- 75 and 3600 +/- 140 radiocarbon years BP. Generic location selected in the Cold Bay area.
