Text Description: Stratigraphic Unit No. 7. Interpreted deposit type: tephra fall (possibly reworked) and paleosol complex. Thickness: 12 cm. Grain size: medium lapilli (5-8 mm) to coarse ash. Bedding: massive lapilli base (3.5 cm) grading upward into coarse ash soil with pockets of normally graded mafic fine lapilli scoria. Sorting: base-well sorted; pockets of mafic scoria-well sorted. Juvenile clast type: black (dense, scoria-like clasts). Remarks: mafic scoria from random pockets. Munsell color-wet: 5 YR 2/2. Munsell color-dry: 5 YR 5/2. Grain shape: angular. Age: >3650+/-150 yr. B.P.
