Grain size: coarse ash with discontinuous lenses of fine lapilli. Bedding: massive. Sorting: well sorted except where coarse lenses exist. Juvenile clast type: white pumice. Remarks: representative sample of base. Munsell color-wet: 10YR 5/4. Munsell color-dry: 10YR 7/4. Grain shape: angular. Age: ~3650+/-150 yr. B.P.
