Location description: Angle Creek Section, Katmai National Park, Alaska. At least 19 ash layers are preserved at this section, beneath the 1912 fallout in a 2-m peaty sequence exposed in a cutbank along Angle Creek. The location is 10 km NW of Mount Martin, 14 km WNW of Mount Mageik and 28 km nearly due W of Mount Katmai. Five of the preserved ash layers are likely locally derived (fine to medium or coarse ash), whereas the other 12 consist of very fine ash, either locally or non-locally sourced. Location imprecisely georeferenced from Figure 2 in Fierstein (2007).
