| Location description: | In the town of Palmer, Alaska, at the intersection of Beaver and Gloria streets. Two and a half m of loess exposed during foundation excavation for a housing development. Five tephra recorded in the stratigraphy at this location (one of which was a couplet), but only four were sampled. See Fontana (1988) for detailed stratigraphy. Coordinates provided as degrees/minutes and converted to decimal degrees; datum not provided, assumed to be NAD83. |
