| Text Description: | Red-brown tephra that occurs approximately 90 cm below the surface. Above the tephra, which is 4 cm thick, is gray loess. The tephra sharply overlies the gray and tan mottled loess below it, that has significant iron staining. Overlies tephras S851E (50 cm below), F, and G. Note that one thin (0.5 cm), discontinuous tephra occurs 3 cm above this one, but was not sampled. |
