Location description: Hunker Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada. Site 3 of Preece et al. (2000). At MIBEN-2 cut in 4.1 m of stony silt, sand and gravel with peaty horizons overlying 1.2 m peat and tree stems. Underlying the peat is 2 m of laminated, brown, organic, clay-rich silt with peat, plant stems, wood and peat. Brown silt is underlain by 2 m of sand and imbricated gravel. Additional unsampled tephra beds occurred at 5.8 m and 6.5 m above the imbricated gravels. This valley bottom section was destroyed during placer mining operations. Coordinates from Preece et al. (2011). Datum not specified, assumed to be NAD83.
