Text Description: Sample of phyric hyalobasanite forming a dike spreading out to a sill. Phenocrysts of olivine and augite make up about 30 percent of the rock. The groundmass is fine grained with very small crystals of pyroxene, olivine, and magnetite in a meshwork of plagioclase laths and glass.
