Text Description: | Sample of a dense dike of chrysophyric hyalobasanite, following a fault zone extending from the seashore 1 mile south of Tolstoi Point, southwestward toward Zapadni Bay, St. George Island. In thin section this rock is essentially similar to the lava flow sample 6, except that no secondary growths of zeolite or chalcedony were observed. |
