Text Description: Lava flow phase. Gray, vesicular block from the eastern margin of the 1986 lava flow. Sample contains phenocrysts of plag, opx, cpx, oxides, trace olivine (predominantly skeletal variety), and traces of resorbed, brown hornblende. Matrix is similar to 86Au101 [Matrix contains zones of microcrystalline (plag-px-ox) groundmass juxtaposed with microlite-free, colorless glass].
