Text Description: Lithic clast-rich layer. L2 is similar to LI but exhibits a slight grain coarsening in mid-layer. The thickness of L2 ranges from 2.4 cm at site 20 to 46 cm at site 15. L2 overlies J2 and was subdivided into two layers, L2a and L2b. L2a has a roughly equal ratio of lithics to scoria and L2b is a more scoria-rich (~ 70 %) layer. Just above L2b is L3 (L3-1 to L3-4), which is a consolidation of the next four layers of alternating lithic- and scoria- rich layers because distinguishing these layers further is too complex.
