Text Description: Stratigraphic Unit No. 6. Interpreted deposit type: pyroclastic flow or lahar. Thickness: 125 cm. Grain size: coarse lapilli: upper deposit - 3.5 cm max; lower deposit - 9.5 cm max. Bedding: normally graded. Sorting: poorly sorted. Juvenile clast type: brown (less dense, slightly more vesicular clasts) and tan (pumice-like clasts, yet still poorly vesiculated). Remarks: juvenile clasts nearly absent; sampled frothy brown bombs 'floating' near top of section. Munsell color-wet: 10YR 6/2 (altered); 10YR 2/2 (fresh). Munsell color-dry: 10YR 7/2. Grain shape: all. Age: 840+/-60 yr. B.P. >1953.
