Text Description: Lava sample from ancestral Mt. Spurr west of Crater Peak... Sample AMS-B08 of Nye and Turner (1990). Next major unit below S40. Small massive or platy layers between pyroclastic debris makes look like "ribbon flows". Distinct blue cast and often aligned plag tabs give schistose appearance.
