Text Description: Lava sample from ancestral Mt. Spurr west of Crater Peak... Sample AMS-A08 of Nye and Turner (1990). Massive platy andesite 8-12 m thick. Forms "gun sight" seen from camp. 5260' just up ridge from seismic station.
