Text Description: 15-cm-thick-tephra; consists of thin, bubble-wall shards. Orthopyroxene, plagioclase, magnetite, and ilmenite are relatively abundant in the small crystal component, which also contains minor amounts of clinopyroxene, apatite, and zircon. From Preece et al. (2000): UT719 is 1.2 m above top of gravel and exposed horizontally over 6 m. Mammal bones, including mammoth and bison, are associated with tephra layer. From Preece et al. (2011): 15 cm thick; bubble-wall shards, trace amounts of brown glass; in black mud; 1.2 m above gravel.
