DisaStory - A Day of Oral History
Where: Alutiiq Musuem Laboratory, Kodiak, Alaska
When: Thursday, June 14, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Where were you when the 1964 quake hit? What stories did your grandparents tell you about the 1912 ash fall? Stop by the Alutiiq Museum and tell them. All community members are invited to make a personal story recording. This is not an interview! It's a chance to share your memories of local disasters. We will provide recording equipment for up to an hour and a copy of your interview. Another copy will be added to a special archive commemorating the 1912 Katmai eruption. Future generations will thank you. Please see the
Alutiiq Museum for more information.
