2011 Alaska Interagency Operating Plan for Volcanic Ash Episodes now available

The 2011 edition of the Alaska Interagency Operating Plan for Volcanic Ash Episodes is now available here: http://www.avo.alaska.edu/downloads/classresults.php?citid=3996

This plan provides an overview of an integrated, multi-agency response to the threat of volcanic ash in Alaska. It presents an agency-by-agency description of roles and responsibilities during volcanic ash events in Alaska, supporting reference material, and sources of additional information.

The 2011 edition is the 6th iteration of the plan which was first developed in the aftermath of the 1992 eruption of Mount Spurr.
