Janet Schaefer AVO/ADGGS and Doug McBride USFWS calibrate instruments on the shore of Mother Goose Lake. In 2009, the pH of Mother Goose Lake was 4.9, up from 2.9 measured in September of 2005, 4-1/2 months after the acid flood event from Chiginagak volcano.
