Geologist Michelle Coombs (USGS/AVO) mapping young explosive deposits from Korovin volcano. Station 19AAJRS025.  East of Konia; surface litter of inflated bombs and lapilli with average clast size about 2-6cm. Clasts similar to those at station 19AAJRS010. Dense glassy lithics up to 20cm; vesicular weathered scoria with abundant plagioclase and tan-colored banded pumice. Occasional bombs to 50cm or more.
