IMAGE 116501
AVO Image

The southernmost exposure of the unit Peregrine glaciovolcanic deposits (see http://doi.org/10.14509/29718 for additional details). Note vegetation sprouting from pre-2008 eruption roots. The relative abundance of surviving vegetation earned this location the slang field name "the secret garden", honoring the centennial of the publication of the book by the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
