Bogoslof volcano with a vigorous steam plume likely caused by interaction of the new, hot lava dome with seawater. Photo by Dave Withrow (NOAA/Fisheries), taken at about 13:00 AKDT on August 26 aboard a NOAA twin otter (N56RF) aircraft while surveying harbor seals west of Dutch Harbor. They were 13 nautical miles from Bogoslof when photo was taken with a 400mm lens.
