Alaska Volcano Observatory

View south along eastern caldera wall of Aniakchak of the drainage that connects the maar crater lake (in distance) to the Aniakchak River at The Gates. This drainage was significantly affected by a break-out flood of the maar lake in late summer 2011. Compare with image 57551.
