A webcam still from camera KAB2 taken mid-morning on October 3 shows somewhat hazy conditions in the Katmai area due to resuspended ash from the 1912 Novarupta eruption. There are two hills in the foreground and more hills in the background-partially snow- and cloud-covered, with a wide flat valley in between. The sky is blue but the whole scene has a slight fuzzy and gray-ish quality due to the ash.
