Location description: | Coal beds, of the Miocene and Pliocene Beluga and Sterling Formations, with tephra layers exposed at Corea Creek, Kenai Lowland, Alaska. Exposure characterized by broad, gentle, barely perceptible anticlines and synclines with dips generally <10 degrees. They are superposed on a shallow regional anticline, which may extend across the Kenai lowland to the Kachemak Bay section. Location imprecisely georeferenced from Figure 1 of Reinink-Smith (1995). |
