Location description: Lignite Creek gravel pit along the Parks Highway, Alaska. Gravel pit is located 2.9 km west of the Parks Highway along the Stampede Pass Road, and exposes the interior of a 27-30 m high elongate ridge complex found at the outer border of deposits mapped as Lignite Creek drift. Location very imprecisely georeferenced from Figure 1 in Beget and Keskinen (1996).
