Location description: Marine sediment core located in proximity to the Mount Edgecumbe Volcanic Field (MEVF). Core spans 18.2-13.5 ka and records 15 tephra layers in non-biotrubated sediments with high sedimentation rates of 100-800 cm/kyr. Upper 27 cm of core is bioturbated, making tephra layer detection difficult, but rhyolitic tephra shards are present in the upper 27 cm. Datum not specified, assumed to be NAD83.
