Roadcut approximately 5 km north of Palmer, Alaska, at 0.8 km on Farm Loop Road. The roadcut is on the west side of the road and is about 12 m long, with approximately 1 m of loess, tephra, and peat exposed and overlying bedded sand. Four tephra recorded in the stratigraphy at this location, one one of which was analyzed. See Fontana (1988) for detailed stratigraphy. Coordinates provided as degrees/minutes and converted to decimal degrees; datum not provided, assumed to be NAD83. |
