Location description: |
Sheep Creek tephra (SCt) refers to a family of tephra beds that closely resemble one another in their petrographic and compositional characteristics (Westgate et al. 2007). Sheep Creek-K tephra is widely distributed across the Klondike goldfields, and is present at Lost Chicken, Alaska, Soya Pup, Thistle Creek, and Stewart River localities, Yukon. Generic location selected in Yukon Territory, Canada. Glass geochemical data reported here is average calculated from analyses of multiple tephra correlated across different stratigraphic locations. Individual sample IDs are noted in the sample description (see Westgate et al. 2007 footnote of table 5). |
