Location description: On gently sloping ground 25 m above sea level, behind a steep slope down to vegetated backbeach; 300 m E of mouth of the Aniakchak River. SUT97-022 is an archeological excavation on the Meshik River, about 12 mi (19 km) to the WNW of ANI97-016; the location is left vague because of the cultural resource at the site (Riehle et al., 1999)
