| Location description: | Nov. 2018 note by Schaefer - the location in db does not match this description; location plots mid-way down south outer flank; sample CNO04-1 plots inside caldera rim so location changed to match CNO04-1. Once known as 04-OK-4-1; This lava outcrop occurs exactly at the inner edge of the Okmok Caldera rim. The lava flow occurs at the top of volcanic pile truncated by caldera collapse. My field notes say the lava fow is glacially striated, and is overlain matching this descripiton) |
