Alaska Volcano Observatory

Sample in thin section is 20% plagioclase, to 3 mm; 10% subequal amounts of clinopyroxene and orthopyroxene, to 3 mm; 1-2% oxides, to 0.4 mm; no olivine, sieved plagioclase present in a few grains, oxide-pyroxene-plagioclase aggregates are present.
