Text Description: Knob on the side of Jaeger Mesa. Interpreted to be a flow with approximately 70' of exposure. Outcrop is characterized by vertical joints which are wider and more massive at the base (around 6" diameter) and decrease slightly in diameter upwards in elevation. Sample contains approx. 4% 5 mm x 2 mm acicular plagioclase with 5-7% small blocky plagioclase (2 mm) in a glassy black groundmass.
