Text Description: | Rhyodacite dome of Snider Peak - remnant core of rhyodacite dome representing one of the latest stages of eruptive history of Mount Drum Volcano. Rocks of dome are light gray to light buff gray, have a sugary texture, and are locally vesicular. They contain sparse small (2 mm) phenocrysts of plagioclase, strongly oxidized hornblende, and rare hypersthene and augite in a vapor-phase crystallized groundmass of feldspars and minor hypersthene.
