Text Description: Glassy block in talus from small knobs of Dome C higher up section at Site 7. Fine-grained, hypocrystalline, porphyritic with a matrix of cryptocrystalline material with perlitic cracks, feldspar, opaque and apatite?. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An44 - An55) are up to 0.22 mm. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.1 mm and are intensely pleochroic. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.3 mm. 97.7% matrix, 1.8% plagioclase, 0.1% orthopyroxene, 0.2% opaque, 0.3% vesicles.
