Text Description:	Feeder dike for Dome C cutting up through silicic material from Dome A at Site 3. Fine grained, holocrystalline, trachytic, porphyritic to seriate porphyritic with a matrix of cryptocrystalline material, opaque, feldspar and biotite?. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An32 - An61) are up to 2.4 mm; the larger grains may have oscillatory zoning. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.25 mm.
