Text Description: A 5-10’ thick dike trending N105°E that cuts up through andesite flows (94SJP101C) and silicic material of Dome G at Site 13. Fine grained, hypocrystalline, intersertal, seriate to glomeroporphyritic with a matrix of pale brown glass, opaque, plagioclase, orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An44 - An62) are up to 1.75 mm and are occasionally sieve textured, and often have oscillatory zoning. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.05 mm. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.95 mm.
