Text Description: A 40-50’ thick flow at the edge of the rock glacier at Site 4. Fine-grained, holocrystalline, intergranular, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene and alteration. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An36 - An54) are up to 1.35 mm and some have sieve textured intermediate zones and/or complex zoning. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.95 mm and some have clinopyroxene rims. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.5 mm. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.08 mm.
