Text Description: Platy dike trending N30°E. Fine grained, hypocrystalline, intersertal, seriate to glomeroporphyritic with a matrix of brown glass, opaque, plagioclase, clinopyroxene and minor alteration patches. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An44 - An59) are up to 2.33 mm and often have sieve textured cores with overgrowth rims; both normal and oscillatory zoning are common; altered inclusions are common; occasionally grains have overgrowth rims over rounded cores or resorption embayments. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 2.2 mm and occasionally have clinopyroxene rims or opaque inclusions. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.75 mm and occasionally have opaque inclusions. Opaque phenocrysts up to 0.4 mm. An altered phase, olivine?, is present. A second altered phase, unidentifiable, now is opaque with a rim of very fine pyroxene.
