Text Description:	Plagioclase-phyric andesite float in the creek bed at Site 12. Fine grained, holocrystalline, seriate to glomeroporphyritic with a matrix of opaque, plagioclase, clinopyroxene, mesostasis and minor alteration. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An26 - An49) are up to 3.75 mm and frequently have sieve textured zones and are zoned; some have clinopyroxene inclusions. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.5 mm. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.7 mm. An altered phase is present.
