Text Description: Approximately 5’ thick dike? that trends N40°E at Site 13. It looks the same as 94SJP101C. Fine grained, holocrystalline, porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, plagioclase, clinopyroxene and alteration. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An41 - An62) are up to 5.12 mm and a few have oscillatory zoning. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.2 mm and some have clinopyroxene rims. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.75 mm. An altered phase, olivine?, up to 1.12 mm, is sometimes rimmed by small pyroxene grains.
