Text Description:	Scoria from above 94SJP42A at Site 6. Fine-grained, vesicular, hypocrystalline, intersertal, porphyritic with a matrix of brown glass, opaque and plagioclase. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An41 - An62) are 0.9-0.1 mm; most grains larger than 0.4 mm are sieve textured and some have overgrowth rims; grains 0.25-0.05 mm lack sieve textures and are rarely zoned. 50.7% matrix, 2.5% plagioclase, 3.9% olivine, 0.8% clinopyroxene, 42.1% vesicles. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.25 mm.
