Text Description: Approximately 10' thick flow at Jaeger Mesa at Site 14. Fine grained, hypocrystalline, intergranular, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, brown glass, opaque, plagioclase, and clinopyroxene. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An45-An57) are up to 0.88 mm and occasionally have oscillatory zoning. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 1.2 mm, occasionally are rimmed by small pyroxene crystals, and contain opaque inclusions. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.15 mm. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.18 mm. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.3 mm.
