Text Description: A 2-3' thick dike that has been boudinaged and cuts through brecciated unit (sBA9) at Site 12. 94SJP58B is about 40' south of 94SJP58A. Fine grained, hypocrystalline, trachytic, intersertal, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of brown glass, opaque, plagioclase, microlites, clinopyroxene and olivine. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An32-An57) are up to 1.7 mm and display minor normal zoning; sieve textured cores are uncommon. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 2.0 mm and a few are swallow-tailed or skeletal. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 2.25 mm. Orthopyroxene are up to 0.6 mm.
