Text Description:	Vesicular block from base of brecciated unit at Site 12. Fine grained, vesicular, hypocrystalline, intersertal, seriate to glomeroporphyritic with a matrix of brown glass, opaque, microlites and plagioclase. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An26-An61) are up to 3.4 mm, some grains have sieve textured cores, resorption embayments, display both normal or oscillatory zoning, and may have overgrowths. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 2 mm. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.5 mm.
