Text Description: Outcrop of 10-25' thick basaltic andesite flows on the east side of Goat Creek. Fine grained, vesicular, holocrystalline, seriate porphyritic, oxidized with a matrix of mesostasis, plagioclase, and microlites. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An47-An62) are up to 2.3 mm, and occasionally have sieve textured zones, normal zoning, and/or resorbed edges. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 1.05 mm, and have black coronas, resorption embayments and alteration. May be some pyroxene present.
