Text Description: Outcrop of 10-25' thick flows on the east side of Goat Creek. Fine grained, vesicular, holocrystalline, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, olivine, and pyroxene. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An38-AN61) are up to 1.3 mm; occasionally have sieve textured zones, resorption embayments, overgrowth rims, and/or normal zoning. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 0.27 mm and are altered with black coronas. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.25 mm.
