Text Description: Remnant of a spatter cone on the east side of Jaeger Mesa. 94SJP102A is a 5' thick flow underlying loose scoria. Fine grained, vesicular, diktytaxitic, holocrystalline, subophitic with a matrix of opaque, mesostasis and alteration. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An43-An50) are up to 0.5 mm laths. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.55 and subophitic. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 1.1 mm with minor iddingsite alteration. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.1 mm. Mode: 61.4% matrix, 23.9% plagioclase, 3.3% olivine, 8.8% clinopyroxene, 2.6% vesicles.
