Text Description: Ten foot thick flow exposed along west side of Pass Creek. Fine grained, holocrystalline, pilotaxitic, intergranular, porphyritic with a matrix of plagioclase, opaque, clinopyroxene and alteration. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An45-An57) are up to 2.0 mm, both normal and oscillatory zoning is present. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 1.2 mm, some are totally altered. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.75 mm. Mode: 89.7% matrix, 2.2% plagioclase, 2.7% olivine, 0.1% opaque, 5.3% alteration.
