Text Description: Flow from Tanada Cinder Cone that forms the top of the Mesa at Site 15. Fine grained, holocrystalline, porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, plagioclase, olivine, and pyroxene?. Plagioclase phenocrysts are up to 0.4 mm, most are small laths; larger grains occasionally have resorbed edges, sieve textured zones. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 1.0 mm; some have skeletal habits; some have resorbtion embayments. Mode: 96.4% matrix, 0.2% plagioclase, 3.4% olivine.
